Nano satelliet voor Nederlandse defensie

Op 30 november hebben het Commando Luchtstrijdkrachten-CLSK, het Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum (NLR), het Delftse bedrijf Innovative Solutions In Space (ISIS) en de Technische Universiteit Delft tijdens de NIDV-beurs te Rotterdam een overeenkomst ondertekend voor de ontwikkeling en lancering van een nano-satelliet. Deze satelliet, genaamd ‘Brik-II’, is een 6U CubeSat met het formaat van een grote schoenendoos die technische mogelijkheden demonstreert die in de toekomst relevant kunnen zijn voor het uitvoeren van militaire operaties. De kosten, inclusief lancering, bedragen ongeveer 2,5 miljoen euro. CLSK verwacht deze satelliet te lanceren in het tweede kwartaal van 2019.
