At Technolution Advance we develop advanced electronics and embedded systems. A substantial part of our efforts goes toward space technology. In 2022 we contributed to a number of space-related projects:
- Technolution Advance and the Royal Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR) started the development of a Control & Data Processing Unit for microsats. This unit is a hub for optical instruments, forming a bridge between the instruments and the satellite platform. It will offer standardized interfaces for integrating optical instruments, and sophisticated facilities for processing optical data before sending it downstream.
- In collaboration with TNO and S[&]T we are developing the control electronics for testing and validating the mirror segment support assemblies for the Thirty Meter Telescope. Technolution Advance will design the control electronics for the segment support assembly test system. This system will analyze and process the strain gauge measurements and control the motor actuators on the warping harness.
- As a founding member of the RISC-V Foundation, we designed and implemented the FreNox RISC-V processor family. The FreNox RISC-V technology has been integrated in many qualified security products for e.g. line encryption and domain separation. We continue improving our RISC-V technology for High Security (HS) and High Reliability (HR) space applications in the European KDT-JU TRISTAN project (together with Royal NLR, University of Twente and Irdeto).
